Careers at The Solar Store
Build a Career You Can Be Proud Of — No Solar Experience Required
At The Solar Store, we're not just looking for people who already know solar — we're looking for people who want to. For over 29 years, we've been Tucson's trusted name in solar, and the people who've grown with us didn't all start out as solar experts. Many started with nothing more than a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a genuine interest in doing good work. That's exactly who we're looking for today.
Why We Welcome Candidates Without Prior Experience
Solar is a specialized trade, and we've found that the best installers, technicians, and team members aren't always the ones who come in with years of habits already formed elsewhere. Sometimes, previous experience in the field means unlearning old shortcuts or outdated methods before you can learn ours. We'd rather teach you our way from day one — the right way, the safe way, the way that's earned us NABCEP certification and a reputation as one of Tucson's top-rated solar companies.
If you're enthusiastic, dependable, and ready to put in the work, we'll give you the tools, training, and support to build real expertise. What matters most to us is attitude, not résumé.

Meet Our Team of Solar Experts
Helping you go solar is what we’re here for!
What You Can Expect When You Join Our Team
- Hands-On Training From Day One. Our team undergoes ongoing, structured training — including the 36+ hours of annual training our NABCEP-certified technicians complete every year. You'll learn directly from experienced professionals who've spent decades mastering their craft.
- A Clear Path to Grow. Whether you're interested in installation, technical service, sales, or project design, there's room to develop new skills and take on more responsibility as you grow with us.
- A Team That Has Your Back. With over 60 years of combined experience on staff, including a registered professional engineer, you'll always have people around you who are happy to mentor and answer questions.
- Meaningful Work. Every system you help install or maintain helps a Tucson family or business save money and reduce their environmental footprint. It's work you can feel good about at the end of the day.
- Stability and Community. We've proudly served Tucson and Southern Arizona since 1998. When you join The Solar Store, you're joining a company that's built to last — and a community that takes care of its own.
Who Thrives Here
You don't need a solar background to succeed at The Solar Store. You need curiosity, reliability, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves. Whether you're switching careers, just starting out in the trades, or simply looking for work that feels purposeful, we want to hear from you. If you show up ready to learn, we'll show you the rest.
