In the last several decades tankless water heaters have revolutionized the plumbing industry in Europe and Japan. Tankless water heaters are 30% more efficient than conventional hot water heaters. These units are also capable of providing an endless supply of hot water, so you don't have to worry about running out of hot water. In addition, their small size means that you can reclaim wasted space in your water heater closet.

Tankless and Solar Hot Water -- a Perfect Combination

Although the value provided by a tankless water heater more than justifies the upgrade, the combination of a passive solar hot water heater and tankless hot water heater provides a perfect combination of comfort and cost efficiency. Unlike traditional water heaters, tankless units measure both the incoming and outgoing water temperature and automatically adjust their heating elements for optimum performance. Since the water coming in from the solar hot water heater is already hot, the tankless hot water heater can adjust itself to allow the water to pass through with little or no energy consumption until the water heated by solar is exhausted.
